BRS Conspiracy behind Attack on Vikarabad District Collector: Bhatti
Hyderabad: Strongly condemning the recent attack on the Vikarabad District Collector, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has attributed the incident to a politically motivated conspiracy by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
Speaking to the media at the Secretariat here on Wednesday, Bhatti Vikramarka along with Minister Ponnam Prabhakar stated that such attempts to destabilise the State government through incitement and manipulation of rural, Dalit, and tribal communities are unacceptable and will be met with strict legal actions.
He further emphasised that regardless of the influential individuals behind the attack, no leniency would be shown, and investigations would proceed rigorously.
"Initial call data reportedly suggests involvement by a BRS candidate, raising concerns about organised plans, targeting government officials and derailing public administration," Bhatti said.
The Deputy Chief Minister accused BRS leaders, including K Chandrashekar Rao, KT Rama Rao and Harish Rao, of attempting to incite unrest among rural population to further their political agendas.
"The BRS party has even made alleged deals with BJP leaders to evade legal consequences in high-profile cases, such as the Formula-E race case," he alleged.
The Deputy Chief Minister remarked that BRS leaders’ appeals in Maharashtra to vote against Congress illustrate their willingness to align with BJP, contrary to Telangana’s best interests.
On the role of the people’s government, Vikramarka assured employees and officials that they have complete support to carry out their duties.
He reiterated that democratic avenues, such as petitions, discussions, and court appeals, remain open for those with grievances.
Lamenting the BRS’s use of community tensions to orchestrate attacks on the public servants, he reminded that during the tenure of BRS government, the protests and agitations were conducted by the Congress party within legal bounds.
Highlighting the current Congress government’s commitment to Telangana’s economic progress, Vikramarka outlined ongoing efforts to create job opportunities and foster industrialisation across regions, including the establishment of industrial parks in underdeveloped constituencies like Kodangal.
He criticised opposition attempts to obstruct these developments, emphasising the government’s inclusive growth vision for all Telangana regions through initiatives like the Regional Ring Road project.
